Moving on (& hopefully home soon!)

The camera, again Mom? Haven't you taken enough?!?

Yeah! Another gift! Thanks, Emma, Wendy & family!

Check out my wild & crazy hair!

Okay, one smile & that's it!

Vaeh is still in the PCTU currently, but only because we're waiting for the phone call from the floor to move her out! She again had another good night. When I arrived this morning, she was laying back in the bed propped up watching Disney. They had already removed her arterial line from her left groin (I can't believe they got a line in her left groin!!) & are planning to take her chest tubes out this afternoon. She's also been progressing on her feeding with switching her to neosure (sp?). I am continually amazed by my little girl! She just keeps on going and going, kind of like the energizer bunny! LOL! I think the only med she's getting through the IV is her antibiotic, and that will be done soon! So I guess you could say that we're homeward bound! Again, thanks for checking in on us, & I'll keep everyone updated as we know more!

Hi there,

Just me again! :) I can't stay away, I'm always searching for Vaeh's newest updates!

I just love those sweet pigtails! What a cutie-pie!!! I'm so glad to hear that she's doing so well today, and that she's going to move to the floor soon! Wow! That's always a big transition, hang in there, Tina! I know it's quite scary after all of the good "round the clock" care that you're used to, but it's a sign of how well your amazing girl is doing.

It was cute to hear that Vaeh was kicked back watching Disney! :) That's Emma's favorite channel!!

Have a good day, and give your sweetheart a hug from us! I hope she's enjoying her "surprises!"

Lots of Love & Prayers,

Wendy (& Emma, too!)

Hi...I've been stalking your site...but haven't left a message yet. Just wanted you to know more prayers are going up for your little precious girl.

We spent 2 months at Mott with Kate...and Dr. Bove performed her last surgery. They are great docs and nurses up there. It's funny reading your posts...and actually knowing where you are talking about.

I am so grateful that Vaeh has been such a superstar little lady! Praise God. She is absolutely adorable..and the pics of her sitting up and smiling are priceless.

May you continue to feel God's peace and grace...especially during those long long days at the hospital. God Bless
Krista

Yay!! Sounding better every update!! I hope they give Vaeh a bit of pain meds for the chest tube?? Hailey said they hurt real bad! She had 4 drain tubes and when they pulled the first two, she was in shock. She cried and cried and worried about when they were going to pull the others plus the folley (not a fun one). So her nurse requested she be given some meds to sleep so they could take the tubes and IV's without any anxiety. What a relief to Hailey! But that meant that she would need to get out of bed to pee. LOL

But Vaeh is little yet, so maybe she'll do fine. I can't remember how Hailey reacted when she was 15 months old and had the chest tubes and such taken out?? Time heals those memories!!

Hope you get to take Vaeh home by the weekend. I'll be going away for the weekend and won't be able to keep up with the progress.

Keeping prayerful thoughts for the travels. Like the background music on the page!!

Hugs,
Penny
